David L. Kahle Scholarship Established

Alva, Oklahoma – David Kahle established the David L. Kahle Scholarship to support students in their academic journey and to help them in their goals to graduate.

Kahle is a 1972 graduate of Northwestern Oklahoma State University with a major in social studies and a minor in English. He realizes the value of education and hopes his investment in the students will enable them to have lifetime opportunities. He also believes Northwestern provides an excellent course of study and would like to see his investment assist in the university’s recruitment efforts.

This scholarship will help young people continue their education and eventually make a bigger impact on their respective communities.

Applicants must be full-time continuing students with a GPA of 3.0 or greater. Preference will be a resident from the Oklahoma counties of Kay, Osage, Noble, Garfield and Grant. If there are no applicants from those areas, it may be awarded to an applicant from northwest Oklahoma. If applicants from these geographic areas do not apply, all Northwestern students will be considered.
