Grace Wessels established the Grace L. Wessels Scholarship in Early Childhood Education because of her love for education and helping students. Wessels’ support of Northwestern Oklahoma State University and its students stems from her fellowship with the staff and students, which makes this scholarship important to her on a personal level.
Building community and relationships strengthens rural northwest Oklahoma. Wessels’ goal is to help students alleviate the need for student loans, allowing them to leave with a degree while remaining debt free. Wessels also hopes to retain graduates in northwest Oklahoma to retain its strength and increase growth.
