DONOR DOLLARS AT WORK: Erica Hildinger, Biology

By Jana Garvie Lindley

Northwestern student Erica Hildinger, Nash, Okla., appreciated the flexibility provided by Donor Dollars.

“This scholarship made it possible for me to have time to focus on my studies and cheerleading.”

Hildinger was a Ranger cheerleader for four years and graduated in December 2022 with a biology major and psychology minor. Her career goal is to become a respiratory therapist.

“Graduating with a biology degree has encouraged me to pursue a career in the health care field.”

Attending Northwestern was a family tradition for Hildinger as her grandmother graduated in 1968, and her father was a 1986 graduate.

Hildinger commented that helpful Northwestern professors encouraged her on her coursework. “They want to see us succeed.”

Hildinger received the Kenneth and Sue Fellers Family Scholarship.

This endowment was established in 2010 by Kenneth (’63) and Sue (Hildreth) Fellers (’64). The scholarship unites the couple's passions to provide financial assistance to a student from northwest Oklahoma pursuing a degree in math, physical science, or biological science. Applicants must have at least a 3.0 GPA.
