Cindy Foresman, '16 & '25

Cindy Foresman is a wife, mother of four, a Northwestern graduate, a senior product owner at Corpay and now a full-time student in the new Master of Business Administration (MBA) program.

From Lavern, Okla., Foresman graduated from Northwestern in 2016 with her undergraduate in Business Administration. As a natural leader, she began working in the Registry Office on campus where she developed lifelong connections with the Ranger community.

“I’ve stayed in touch with all the people I met during my time there. When I heard Northwestern was adding this new program, I knew I had to jump on board.”

Foresman now resides in Portland, Ore., with her husband and their four children. She began working at Corpay, a technology company, in 2017. As a full-time MBA online student, she is thankful for the flexibility offered in the program at Northwestern.

“This course was designed with people like me in mind. As a mother, I need to show up for my kids when they need me, and this program gives me that flexibility.”

The ability to balance school and family is something Foresman values.

“I’m grateful for the structure of this program. It’s challenging, but it’s designed to work for people with busy lives, such as parents, spouses and full-time employees.”

Foresman is excited to continue to climb the corporate ladder and take her education to the next level. Her decision to pursue the MBA program at Northwestern stemmed from her deep interest and investment in her career.

"I want to work my way up to a director or vice president position. In corporate America, the education required for those positions is essential and I’ve really become invested in improving business practices.”

Beyond the corporate world, Foresman is also looking forward to using her degree to inspire and educate others.

“I want to teach business courses someday. I want to bring my real-world experiences into the classroom to show students what businesses looks like outside of a textbook.”

As Foresman looks ahead toward her graduation date of July 2025, she reflects on the lasting impact Northwestern has had on her journey.

“I was a young mom when I went to school and Northwestern supported me, especially Sheri Lahr, Northwestern Registrar, and the employees in the Registry Office. They were always there, making sure I was successful both academically and personally.”

Foresman is a testament to the power of education and the ability to balance multiple roles and responsibilities. She is a prime example of the determined and driven individuals the MBA program seeks to support.

“I am grateful for the MBA program and all the work the university put in to making this program possible.”
