DONOR DOLLARS AT WORK: Bailey Bragg, Bachelor of Science in Nursing

By Jana Garvie Lindley

Ponca City, Okla., native Bailey Bragg graduated from Northwestern in 2023, knowing that scholarship dollars paved the way for her success.

“My scholarships aided my family during a time of financial strain and allowed me to continue into my career. I could not be more thankful for the assistance.”

She chose nursing as a major to support and educate people in need. Her ultimate goal is to obtain a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree to assist communities with women’s health resources. Bragg is currently employed at Oklahoma Children's Hospital in the cardiac ICU.

Bragg is a second-generation graduate; her mother also obtained her BSN from Northwestern.

She is married to Kevin Bragg and is mother to Bronx, age 8, and Ace Nolan, age 7.

Recognized on the President’s Honor Roll at Northwestern, Bragg valued academic achievement during her time as a student.

“I believe the education I received at Northwestern is the most thorough that it could have possibly been.”

Bragg received the Clara Haack, R.N. Scholarship.

Charles and Clara (Haack) Jackson established the Clara Haack R.N. scholarship in 2017 to provide financial assistance to students pursuing a Bachelor of Science in nursing. Charles and Clara met at Northwestern as students. Charles graduated in 1963 with a degree in History, and Clara graduated in 1964 with a degree in Home Economics and a minor in Business. When the couple found themselves in Oklahoma City, Clara returned to school to obtain her nursing degree in 1972. Following graduation, Clara worked as a staff nurse on medical surgical oncology units in different hospitals over the years. The Jacksons now reside in Coppell, Texas.
