Alva, Oklahoma - The Brower's Champions Football Scholarship was established by coaches and players from Coach Lee Brower's tenure at Northwestern Oklahoma State University.
Under Coach Brower's leadership, Northwestern won its first conference championship in 1986. A second conference championship was won in 1989. Both teams made the national playoffs.
Northwestern's football program is instrumental in helping many players become leaders in both their professions and communities. Players and coaches from these championship teams have given back to support future leaders through the football program.
“I am so proud of everyone who gave to this wonderful scholarship,” said Dr. Bo Hannaford, Northwestern president. “Hopefully, this will help future leaders from Northwestern achieve their dreams and goals.”
Applicants must be continuing full-time students and members of the Northwestern Football Team.
